Implement a system that allows players Level 30-40+ to report people that are supposedly botting, keep track of said players account so they can’t abuse the system.
-After receiving reports from 5-10 different player accounts the supposed bot will receive a window notification warning that says their session will be terminated if they don’t click ok or something.

Edit: Oh and I’m aware that you can already report bots….but this system might be a bit more effective, someone also mentioned that adding a popup window with a captcha might be annoying but I think it would be quite effective and only annoying to bots and bot users, because as I said only high level players would be able to use this function, and no one would risk losing their character just to grief someone.
-Give them maybe 5 min to respond? Then boot them to the character screen.
-If the same person is reported and booted several times prevent them from logging back in and send them a verification email with a code or something.

Reason for only high level players to report is simple, anyone the goes to level 40 wouldn’t risk a ban on their account by abusing this power….and at the same time it gives some control to the community, a sort of way that we can manage the bots ourselves. I feel this will give some reassurance to players that they will be able to seek help when its needed, I understand that it would be difficult to have a dev/GM present in the game at all times, so maybe this would assist you guys in the workload?

It would definitively need to be tweaked against griefing. But it sounds like an idea.

Think about how many servers there are, how many players sending in report tickets and how many GM’s they have to sort through these. Suddenly they’re faced with an unstopable truckload that never ends. You could even reward players for such activity, like small amounts of gems for SUCCESSFUL and verified bots being purged.

Exactly it good be a way to encourage players to help their own community, and it would also reduce the stress load from arena net, a community of players that can sustain itself seems like quite a unique aspect, and to top it off I think arena net would be the first to implement such a system.
