A simple change, so much more ease running a guild
+1. In small, casual guilds, often leaders want EVERYONE to be able to invite anyone they want. You should not have to hope an admin is online for you to whisper to get into a guild.
As a leader of a small casual guild I agree 100% with this suggestion. Kicking, demoting, promoting and inviting new members should not be clustered together under one administrative function. It makes it pretty much impossible to create and organize ranks as you wish as you have to concern yourself over the possibility of people abusing the fact that they can kick/demote and so forth to players lower ranking than them.
It would be nice being able to allow everyone to invite but until invites are separated from the rest of the admin functions, invites will have to be left up to the higher ranking people who do have access to do so. This option isn’t exactly helpful when attempting to recruit new members, you shouldn’t have to wait for a higher ranked member to sign on to drop an invite.
I agree too. I want everyone to be able to invite new members, but I don’t want my non-officer ranks being able to kick others.
Same. That’s the first thing I looked for when I saw the permissions. The most important thing of all is missing – invite permission.
Personally, I don’t want to promote ten people in the Admin/GL group just to get them to invite. New members usually sees the top rank as GL, when in reality, they’re just there to do invites. Causes confusion only.
Yeah well for me as I said, I still can’t trust officers with the power haha.
You never know.
That would be a useful feature
This is awkward, I’ve got a leader in my guild whose now hacked, scared that the hacker may kick everyone in the guild.
Wish this could be implemented.
