As much as I understand the need to merge/remove duplicate threads I would suggest you do not respond to them in said thread because it is filling up the dev tracker with posts saying “this thread is a duplicate/copy” Instead just send the author and anyone who posted on that thread saying “This is a duplicate and has been removed/moved to this -link- thread” So users can see the meaningful posts on the dev tracker.
