AFK and OFFLINE players
Yes! This is a great idea. I want this! I always find it hard to tell who is AFK and who is there just by looking around town. SWTOR never added this and it always bugged me. WoW has had it since release and it makes it easier to see who is there and who isn’t.
I wouldn’t mind the first idea; It would be kind of amusing to run past a little Asura sitting on a rock and reading a book.
However, the second idea would just make the world incredibly cluttered. Think about how many people play this game, and think about crowded places where many people log out. It would be a mess.
1. You can go /sit or /sleep
2. That’s a bad idea. Imagine how would LA center or TP look. It would be cluttered (as Zeffy already said)
Yes but my sylvari sitting on a random object and reading a book/paper/whateverthekitten just sounds like an awesome idea compared to her lying in a fetal position or posing like a model
.. Or we could all go join the [AFK] guild (saw this once, pretty genius)

You are right guys, The 2nd idea cant be implemented by the reasons you mentioned. Although, the sleeping hammock can be added to AFK players after the “reading the book” if the players are AFK for more than 30 min
The 1st idea, ok. The 2nd…waste of server resources.
+1 to First idea
-1 to Second idea
The specific animation doesn’t exactly fit all character settings.
A simple [afk] hovering over their name is fine imo… Doesn’t even have to be an entire animation. I just want to know who’s afk and who isn’t so I’m not talking to a wall.
As for second idea, no. Just no.
Would be amusing to have character in player housing once that’s introduced but otherwise it’d clutter the game.
both are a waste. In both cases you should get booted from the server
You do get booted for being AFK. I think the timeout is an hour. And you get booted even if you are not AFK, but are typing and not moving.
