The ability bar (#’s 7, 8 & 9) should be customize-able.

When you pick the selector icon just above the ability (7, 8 or 9) you should be able to select a variable number of user selected abilities for that specific ability number (7, 8 or 9).

For example:

Ability key #7 could have two alternate abilities tied to it, ability key #8 could have five different abilities tied to it and ability key #9 could have one alternate ability linked to it.

Right now, trying to quickly find an ability when you have some 10+ to sift through is an issue because it affects your response time to situations…

Seeing as how my OT was moved & edited due to /bumps; I will revive this for the sake of conversation among the player base…and hopefully the devs will pay attention…perhaps even respond once or twice.

i like the idea, there are a lot of skills i’ll never use, like some human racial skill but they still hang there, i now know my profession so well that i can recognize a skill icon on the fly, but still i would rather to select the ones i actually use

Right now, trying to quickly find an ability when you have some 10+ to sift through is an issue because it affects your response time to situations…

Changing the utilities should happen outside of the combat – so you should have enough time to do it.
With 22 utils, it’s really not a problem to memorize them, especially when they are organized in the same way each time.

of course outside of the combat and they are organized in the same way only recently, they happened to change positions according to what you had equipped once, that’s why i find it easier now to manage it

@ El Qox: I figured I didn’t have to say that the ability to change the skill would have to be OOC because of the way the QB gets disabled when you are in combat…

It would be nice to customize the number of skills available for each # slot because there are a lot that I never use because of my spec…and in those rare situations where you have to change to something that is better suited for the situation it is a PITA to try and find it quickly when you have a fraction of a second to react.

While this sounds like a good idea, at the same time it sounds tedious. If I want to have my stun break on skill 9 all the time, I have to pre-program it that way. If I ever change my mind I have to set it all up again. If I am in a different situation and my stun break serves me better on skill 8 because I need something faster or more important on skill 9, then I have to reprogram my utility tiers.

Doing this for each character between any unique situation sounds more complicated than it needs to be.

What I would like, tho, is the pop-up menu for utility skill selection to stop re-arranging itself based on what else I have equipped. I feel this would lessen a lot of the confusion and allow for simpler change out of combat while still allowing for some organization.

the the ONLY way the skills are “Re-aranging” based on what you equip is that it doesn’t show the skill currently equipped in that particular slot, meaning each skill can MAX move between must be like 3 places TOTAL, it really is easy to find the right one. and a fraction of a second, you wont be out of combat for a fraction of a second only in 99.999999999% of cases, you will at least have a 5-10seconds and easily more if you want to, which is more than enough time to swap skills
