In talking to some other players, I have noticed that some regretted the choice they made in the Order. It got me thinking: Why not offer the ability to change the order you joined… a couple of ways this could be done include:

1. A quest to prove oneself to the new Order and/or get released from the old Order
2. Gems to switch (enable someone to get gems in the gem store to change)
3. A cost in Karma

My thinking is that option 1 would be good storywise… option 2 would be a good value for people buying gems (either with dollars or in game gold)… option 3 would be to simulate a reputation hit, but is probably the lesser of the three options.

Id also like to see this implemented. There has been a few threads asking for this. If it becomes available then it will most likely cost gems. Probably like 1000 to change order. I took Vigil on my Guardian and wish I went Priory.

Well the orders to begin with are some on the titles for our character screen , so i dont think they should be easily obtainable.

While i understand people may want another kind of armor and such.

So in my opinion they could even implement the change order feature so people would be happy , but they must NOT give the icon on the char select screen. If anyone want that , they must make a new char OR they must change the icon , to the orders you actually got chars on.

the gem option is one the one they’d go for. it is a business after all. be careful what you wish for. i have a sarcastic and rude approach that is all too cut and dry: read on for stupid!

BEWARE YOU NEED TO MAKE A NEW CHARACTER TO ENJOY THE OTHER CONTENT FROM THE OTHER ORDERS AND NO WE WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO CHANGE THIS AT ALL EVER.

Seeing that the Order quests take up about 1/4 or 1/5 of your Storyline quests I don’t see this being implemented.
However it would be a nice feature to have. +1 For it.

If they actually did more with characters participating in a chosen Order than a being small foot note in the story; I would definitely say something like this would be great, but the Order you choose is so insignificant that it doesn’t matter at the moment.

Now if players could do Order specific commissions with different game play styles for the missions from each order; heck yes you should be able to change your order at least once.
