Can we get the option to “upgrade” our current equipment to the ascended version instead of having to purchase a trasmutation crystal to trasmute it to our current skin?

I mean, I have 8 different gears and 16 different weapons on my characters; I don’t want any other skins, I’m fine with these forever but this way I’ll need 8*6 + 15 = 63 trasmutation crystals in order to pass my current skins on the new gear. That’s a boat of money, in terms of gold to gems.

Also, I’ll lose the exotic piece in the process anyways, so, in the future, can we get an “optional” recipe that lets us upgrade our current gear to the ascended version, keeping the skin?

I’ve spent gems to purchase 2 sets of magitech armor to later come to know that I’ll need 12 crystals just to pass them on the new ascended gear…

Or make those trasmutation stones somehow useful; maybe, by combining 3 of them you get a crystal or something along those lines.

Good luck with that, it’s a bucket of money in Anet’s pocket. It would be a concession if they’d allow some kind of exchange with all those useless basic transmutation stones though.
