In my eternal hunt for purdier armor skins, I’ve spent a fair amount of time checking out NPC’s gear; typically, they’re often wearing cleverly re-colored combinations of different sets, but I’ve found a few wearing a really nice set of plausible (i.e. doesn’t look like a stripper in gladiator costume) heavy armor that I wanted to procure.
It’s Caudecus’ Manor armor; great, I’m set-
Oh, wait, it’s not. CM armor is re-skinned to look like someone ran over the armor in their Escalade; 1380 tokens gets me that? Not shiny? What??
Yeah, not a game-breaking issue, it does nothing to ‘improve the experience.’ But obviously the assets are in place, so can Anet just put them to use? I know some people like the tarnished look, so I’m not suggesting an outright skin swap, but I also know that I can count the times on one hand that I’ve seen someone running in CM heavy armor, so maybe offering a ‘clean’ skin for the armor might make it more palatable to wider audience. I’m assuming their are other sets of armor with multiple skins; maybe a gem store item (similar to a transmutation stone, etc.) that lets one ‘flip’ the skin of the armor set?
