Guild Wars 2

I started playing this game about 1 month ago, right off the start I was extremely motivated, and I still am, all I have been doing is farming a variety of mobs and fractals 20+ and some other dungeons just to get enough gold to buy Dusk, safely assuming I wont be lucky enough to get it as a drop. I understand that making some way to get an account bound precursor would make their prices plummet, but it shouldn’t be easy to get either way, it should just NOT take months of farming gold just to get one weapon, (I have about 300g after one month of playing, but I do have 99% world completion (need WvW) and I have leveled 1 character to 80). I am not here to complain, I will be getting my legendary either way, I am just as motivated as I was when I started, but I think people should be able to get a precursor in other ways than an extremely lucky drop or well over a month of hardcore farming for hours and hours each day. For people against this, that it would ruin the market, I would first of all say most people would keep it anyway to make an legendary on one of there characters, and even now, the market has already been ruined (as far as I can tell, I am obviously still new to the game) by people who pay real money for gold (buying and selling Gems), which will keep the prices of precursors as high as they are and make it harder people who actually want to buy one without spending real money. And again, I am not here to complain, as I will get my legendary one way or another, but this would be a great way to make it just a little easier, especially on new people, to get it (getting everything else you need is already hard enough as it is).

If pre cursors would be made account bound, nobody would be able to sell them in the first place. If you mean that precursors now in people’s hands wouldn’t turn into account bound, their price would actually go up, knowing that account bound can’t be sold and thus not bought, and the ones being able to be sold would become rarer.

I think precursors should have been account bound at the very start. But that gives us another issue. How to get one? Right now the only way to get one without buying is with testing your luck on chests and mystic forge. That’s a huge RNG that people wouldn’t accept if that was the only way to get one. So if they become account bound, there should atleast be a sure way of getting the one pre cursor you want. Of course doesn’t mean that a sure way has to be easy.

I don’t think it’s realistic to change pre cursors now. Except, add in a new way to acquire one (e.g. scavanger hunt). And perhaps only make those you can acquire through sure way methods, account bound.

That is what i ment, other methods that would allow you to grab an account bound one, but drops could still be sold
