So I was excited to get the Consortium Harvesting Sickle for 800 gems in the BLTkittenil I bought the sickle and saw that it was… you guessed it! Soulbound on use… Which seems to be the case for the Molten Alliance Mining Pick as well.

Wait what? I assume someone’s probably brought this up before but if so, kudos!

I’m aware I should’ve noticed before buying that it is soulbound, but the idea just did not even cross my mind, and I would have still posted this suggestion.

Dear Anet, I really cannot press how you absolutely must make this item account bound, not only for the cost, but the fact that even the “regular” sickles are account bound. There are also other items such as the dance volume that are account bound, and not worth as much in gems.

Aaaanyways, I have a feeling that they won’t be making the infinite use harvesting tools acccount bound. They were very popular items, making Anet a stack of cash especially if people bought more than one for their alts.

It doesn’t take much to add new skins and particle effects to these tools, so I can foresee them releasing similar soulbound variants in the future to encourage people to collect them all or to deck out their alts.

Thats true. Those items make a lot of money and due the gold→gem conversion are perfect gold sink. In other words they are designed to by souldound and that is the way it should be.

~$10 for a soulbound item. For people with 8 characters that will be a total of $360 in future. I think there’s a certain point where you over do the price class.
