Hi, suggestion for security in character deletion.

We know when you’re going to delete one of your characters the game verifies your action by asking you to enter your character’s name that you’re going to delete, you type the name and then press Enter and it’s gone.

Issue:

Imagine a weird situation that would probably never happen, but if it could, it would hurt:

- You’re in LAN party (or something like that) playing Guild Wars 2. You decide to leave your character online and have a toilet break (because closing the game for few minutes is silly). While you’re AFK, the random guy that was next to you, can delete your character you were used to love for years, in under 30 seconds.

And there’s account rollbacks only for “hacked” accounts?

How to solve:

- Make the game also ask for your Account Information when deleting characters.

It just feels sad how easily big things can be done… even it’s rare, it’s possible. Thoughts?

Also your little brother(if you have one) may do this if you leave the computer unattended.

Lol your point is solid, but your example situation makes me giggle. Why would you have a LAN party with people who you don’t know well enough to trust them to respect your property/time investment ie. Your character. Lol idk I dont have LAN parties, so I dont know if it’s commonplace to have total strangers in them.

Considering how often the evil little brother or the vengeful girlfriend situation has come up, maybe they should have something. Maybe put in your password or something.
