I appreciate the ease in which the new account wallet allows players to access the various currencies in the game, however particularly with gold, I absolutely kept it separate between characters. Each of my avatars had their own. Selling on the AH made this difficult, since it is account wide, but I managed it.
I’d highly suggest having karma and gold optional to be account wide. I suggest you make it so that a player can pull it out of the account wallet for a specific character or dump it in as well the same with Karma. This aids players in being able to have a little organization to things instead of making it mandatory that it all be dumped into one pile. Even with the Tradehouse I might suggest allowing an option to have individual characters receive the funds for just the things that character has posted, instead of having it be dumped into the account wallet.
What I’m asking for here is more options regarding this account wide method. While I believe most players cheered the move to make all currency account wide, I might have done so as well had it not been a mandatory design.
I am very serious about keeping funds for my characters separated between them. So that I know what one character can afford out of what they’ve earned, in comparison to another. What this has done is make it absolutely impossible for me to keep track of that.
This aspect is game breaking for me. I don’t decry the account wallet. I think that was a fine move that will benefit most everyone, however what I do decry is the mandatory nature of it. I’m asking for options. To have my currency divided among characters instead of in one big lump sum. Until then, I can’t see myself logging in to play again despite enjoying the game in the past.
