Has there been any official word on this? i remember hearing about it a while ago and have been wishing for it more and more as time goes on.
the idea being you can move your legendaries to your alts so you can use it on any toon that uses that weapon
it would def be a ‘shutup and take my money’ scenario

if there hasnt been any official comment on this topic, then i suppose i do highly suggest it, but the purpose of this thread was to find out if there had been any dev comments made about the idea.
if you are a dev and are reading this, what do u think about the idea? has it been considered? if it has been considered, why did you ultimately decide against it?
it was just a rumor floating around map chats. nothing official, thats why im asking
EDIT: this was a reply to a post that i guess was deleted when the thread was moved. it stated roughly that i was dreaming when i heard that they might become account bound
Frankly, I highly doubt anyone has actually bought a Legendary of the Trading Post.
If you can afford those prices, it’s realistically more efficient (and fun) to just buy the components and forge it yourself (no matter what tier you start at)
Here’s another rumor to pass around:
A couple of ANet staff member probably posted those items for kittens and giggles.
And if someone does buy it, they probably did so from buying a ton of gems. I think ANet getting a little extra funding is exchange for 1 stupidly rich person getting an item is worth the trade-off.
It’s not like that rich guy is going to find any of us personally and rub it in our faces. Especially given the ridiculous amount of money spent to acquire the gold…

i sold a legendary on the TP, and one of the realistic bids to buy a legendary is mine…
but that isnt the purpose of this thread
right now a legendary is soulbound on use, which means its only for that one character. meaning if i craft a legendary shortbow, and my two mains are a thief and ranger, i have to choose which gets the dreamer. i would pay good money to be able to have my dreamer be account bound and be able to move it between the two characters
EDIT: also, it is not more efficient to just craft any legendary u want. 100% map completion takes a lot of time, and if someone wants say 5 legendaries, they would have to do 3 100% completions. thats why im buying the next legendary i want, the stuff u cant buy (badges, karma, gift of exploration etc) makes it worth it to buy the legendary at some prices.
