With all the new living world events that are coming out with some sweet looking gear and cool minis that we have to work hard and bang out achievements to get (ex. Fervid Censer, Flames of Kryta), it really takes a hard hit on our bank and inventory space. But if we destroy these “once in a game” items we can never get them back for future use. So I’m saying it would be cool to implement a system so we can go back to a tab and retrieve those skins and minis at any time as long as we have those achievements done. Pretty much like the achievement reward system we have now where we can go back and get unlimited Zenith, Hellfire, or Radiant skins that we earned

Anet should just introduce two accountbound items that are put into the Hero Panel.

The Toolbox

The Playbox

Within the Toolbox will be put all kind of Account Bound tool items, like the Flames of Kryta.

Within the Playbox will be put all kinds of Account Bound toys, like the Balloon.

That way we have not in our inventory over time everythign full of account bound toys and tools, but these items would be stored within our Toolbox and Playbox to which we would have access too from every every over their Hero Panels.

Double Clicking the Tool Box for example would open up then a new window, where the player can choose of of the box one of all of the obtained tools, which one you want to use right now.

About these boxes, the system behind this inventory management just reminds me always on Games like Terranigma
There you had a “box”, that was extra made for to put in all your magical rings, crystals and oder magic items in there, so that your true inventory was just for consumeable other items so that when you decided to change your magic spells, you knew, you just have to open up that “box” to change your rings ..
You hadn’t do do something in your inventory, you opened just your hero panel where you had access to that box to change your skills basically..

The same system of inventory management should be done with alot of items here in GW2. Way too much stuff gets placed in our inventores. alot of things could be handled alot easier without havign to put everything in the inventory by allowing us access to these items beign stored somewhere outside of the inventory.

Lets take Recipes for example..

Why does the game have to make for every stupid recipe 1 item, when ANet could just implement soulbound RECIPE BOOKS that count as 1 single item and whenever the character receives a new unknown recipe, that recipe will go right instantly into the Recipe Book, that the player can also overlook, so see how many recipes the character has already learned and how many recipes are still to learn for the character in the corresponding crafting jobs !

There should be also a kind of CRAFTING BOX, which stores up all kinds of crafting materials to reduce all the slots that are blocked in the inventory to either 1 or 0 in regard of if that box gets palced into the inventory as soulbound item, or if it gets used liek the Tolbox or the playbox as account bound box in the Hero Panel.

anet lets us already store up some materials, yes, but thats by far not enough when compared to thegazillion of crafting items that you make while crafting and that you need to create to craft something else, which all can’t be stored currently and just block all your inventory space quickly

So what inventory management belongs, GW2 has still a long road to go, to become perfect.

Personally I like the idea behind sub classes ~ quoted from Chris Whiteside

I suggested something like this a few days ago. It got about as much attention as yours has so far, sadly. It is a good idea and something that REALLY should be implemented. My idea was to the tune that anything that we’ve earned via achievements should be available in the summery section of the achievements tab. The Flame of Kryta for example, is in one characters inventory… well what if I need it on another character? However I like the toolbox idea, too.
