Achievements per character, not account
No! Account-bound achievements was a great decision. It’s about you as a player, not your characters. It wouldn’t be much fun to roll alts, for some people, if they were character-bound.
While I enjoy the fact that the achievement system is account wide and I wouldn’t want that to change, I can see where you are coming from with the dailies. I just think it’s done that way to prevent people from making alts just to farm daily rewards.
I’m was thinking more about adding achievements, not fundamentally changing them.
I would like to see some kind of daily achievement based on the character is all.
It would be perfectly fine if it was a completely new achievement and didn’t add to the monthly achievement. Maybe it could be as simple as choosing karma or guild influence as a reward.
No. That would mean I could easily farm out 10 mystic coins a day in a starter zone, give them all to my main. Two days of that, and I already matched what you get from a monthly achievement.
So shines a good deed in a naughty world.

I am against this suggestion as well. I can see it being abused and exploited as other posters have stated. Anet wanted a more casual game, therefore achievements should be account bound because causal players will not want to play multiple toons just to keep up with the other players who have the time to farm the daily’s. Furthermore if items that become easier to get means the cost raises. It would take more mats hurting the casual player and rewarding only the hardcore.
