Oh god, I’ve always hated this in games! If I buy something from the TP, I don’t want someone’s random name on it. Please keep items clean, I was so glad to see it wasn’t there.
For the trading post to work as it does it needs every item of a specific type to be identical. Any variation will cause problems. That’s why upgrading an item will soulbind it, to cut down the number of variations the TP needs to list.
Recording who created the item is the kind of variation that will break the trading post. So to implement it, ANET will need to completly change the trading post into something else.
I fail to see how adding a field in the DB to who created the item would make the trading post fail.
