Just as other skills have a red bar under them when the target is out of range, could Portal Exeunt have the same indicator when the Portal Entre is out of range? Would save a lot of sighs and facepalms.

I disagree. Mesmer portal is currently one of the most powerful skills in the game, especially in WvW. There should be some risk involved in using it.

For the record, the range is one minimap radius when it’s zoomed in all the way.

I completely agree with the op as it should have a range indicator and a countdown timer. Especially when the mini map radius isn’t always the case. As before I move off a portal entrance I always pop a marker on the mini map. It still misfires from time to time.

Once you know this and your experienced the current portal system is fiddly rather than somehow limiting portals from being OP.

The OP is right, and it doesn’t suddenly make portals OP as a result it just saves you from doing a weird shuffle as you adjust you mini map in the right direction to make sure your in range.
