Guild Wars 2

I would love to see the additions of new weapons to the game, not additional bundle ones but the more traditional way.

The Whip. for: Warriors, Elementalists, Mesmers.
I think a good solid whip would do nicely in this game.

Katars/knuckle irons. for: Thiefs, Warriors, Engineers
Brings you alittle closer to the feel of close up combat.

Books. for: Necros, Mesmers and elementalists.
Just like the tomes a guardian has, but as a regular weapon instead.

Halberd. for: Rangers, Warriors.
A friend suggested this, or a two hand great axe.

Spear/trident(for land use) (any class that can use it already i guess)
Too make them more important and fun to use and have.

Scythes. For: For all prof? mostly necromancers.
Lets face it, Necromancers needs a scythe, and not a weapon skin, but a true scythe for slicing

also i do beilive rifles should be useable by rangers too, i’m not sure why not?

Just some ideas.

eventually they want all the weapons right now to be usable by all classes. key word eventually…. but if i were to choose a weapon to add… it would be spears (no not javelins like gw 1) actual spears… we can use spear underwater so why not… whips could also be good for mesmers in particular… i would hope they change mesmer sword animations to rapier animations… because sword would be too similar to rapier to just add a new weapon… but mesmer needs rapier animations lol.

the rapier animations already exist on mai trinn… so it shouldnt be too difficult to add that animation to mesmer sword.. cus mesmer just looks weird slashing the sword the way it does.. especially since blurred frenzy uses same animation as 100 blades and 100 blades doesnt block/evade but blurred frenzy does.. a riposte animation similar to mai trinn would be awsome and more fitting for the mesmer class.

+1 to whips, great axes, and spears on land.

Quarterstaves would also be a neat weapon, and could be usable by warrior, guardian, ranger, and mesmer.
