I have my first character, a level 27 Norn Ranger,.. I have earned 1 gold and 2 silber so far, withhold much with using the waypoints as means of travelling, sold every gears, weapons and junks I had. I have seen how much cultural armor costs and wonder if I would be able to earn so much to just buy one pice of that armor. I also have seen the coin to gem ratio, which just shocks me.

I’d also like to try out other race/profession combos but it limits me currently to 5 characters and can’t afford yet to exchange my coins to gems to buy additional character slots.

I wonder, when I had raised 5 characters to the max level, if I have to delete a character where I spent so much time to be able to enjoy experiencing a new kind of gameplay with other professions?!

I’m wondering, if I really have to pay real money or to be punished to waste my time farming for gold (to exchange it later to gem to buy an additional character slot) to be able to try out other professions?!

I wonder if I could convey my worries like this…

It would be great to have a reward in form of a character slot if someone reaches the max level…

You can always purchase gems little by little each day.

i’ve reached level 80 on my necro recently and by the time i did. i already had enough coin to buy enough gems to buy 2 character slots and even a 3rd if i want to.

My suggestion for you is to just now and then open up the coin to gem menu. Check for the worth of around 13s or 14s or 10s if your really saving up for something else as well.
13s used to get me 50gems but now its 14s for 45 gems. As the game gets older im guessing gem prices will go up simply because people will start to have more money on their characters. but i wouldnt say youd have to rush and farm gold just to get up to 800 gems.
Also if you do buy three character slots by turning coin to gems thats saving you $30, which feels awsome.

The last time I logged in, the ratio was 29s for 50 gems (Aurora Glade) ;A;

I see no problem with the current system once you reach lvl 80.
I have more than enough to buy all the upgrades I want for my account without needing to pay for gems.
