Greetings!
Throughout my adventures in Tyria, I have had relatively few ways that I have thought of game improvements. One of them, however, is to have additional voiceovers available for player characters. Once you have enough people who are qualified (or until you have enough money, whichever is the hindrance,) at least one or two more voiceovers could be added for players to choose from at the character creation. This would allow for an even more personal feel to the game.
For example, I have two different sylvari. One of them is a soft-spoken, curious Dusk bloom for whom the default voice works quite well. The other sylvari, however, is completely the opposite- she’s a rough-and-tumble, hardspoken sapling who doesn’t care whose toes she steps on when she speaks. Obviously, the gentle default voice doesn’t quite fit with her background. This is where an additional voiceover would come in handy. If there was another that seemed a bit more brash, or perhaps with a slightly rougher/more pronounced accent, it would fit her better. After all, she’s a Dawn warrior – and in her mind, you move it or get injured!
Continuing the example, if such an option were added to the game, it could allow for the addition of a voice-changer item in the Black Lion Trading Post. This could help bring in even more revenue. For a fee of ~600 Gems, a player could buy the voice change and choose to alter their character’s voice. Such an item would be most useful if two additional VO’s were added- a single VO addition could be more reasonably priced at ~350 Gems.
I hope I have made my suggestion clear enough. The game is, fantastic overall, but the depth added by having more voiceover options would add even more value in my opinion.
