First suggestion:
Add a recipe for Black Lion Keys to the Mystic Forge:
Recipe could consist of:
— “xx-xxx” Black Lion Chests
— “xx” Globs of Ectoplasm
— Some sort of Key “Frame”(would be a new drop in game — same/ less drop rate than chest)
-- Some material. Or perhaps since the Consortium is a rival, the Black Lion Trading Company could make you use Fractal Relics as the last ingredient.
Obviously the recipe price would have to keep up, or exceed, the gem price of the Keys currently in the gem store.
—-> At current prices, it costs about 2.5g to buy just 1 Black Lion Key.
Second suggestion:
Bring Back Nick!
Obviously he can’t be brought back from the dead considering how much time has passed since his life, but while exploring I found what could be the next Traveler.
- Horas the Traveler (direct quote):
“You know that feeling when you spy something on the horizon you’ve never seen before? I live for that. I’ve traveled all over Snowden Drifts and am going to the Gendarran Fields soon.”
Maybe I’m jumping the gun, and the wonderful staff of ArenaNet was already planning something like this, but it’s good to bring it to peoples attention.
For those of you who did not play Guild Wars 1, here is a link to the wiki page (and what he’s all about) — http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Nicholas_the_Traveler
The creativity that the ArenaNet team has, plus the vast expanse of the Guild Wars 2 landscape makes for an interesting Traveler Hunt, if it was ever brought into play.
This could give trophy items actual meaning, since you have to collect “xx” amount of them. And with trophy items being soulbound, it wouldn’t be as easy as spending a mere bit of gold.
Also, this would be once per week per account, which worked wonderfully in Guild Wars 1.
Possible Gifts (contained within):
-Reward of Black Lion Key(s).
-Mystic Coins
-Tonics
-_Perhaps_some rare weapons, or rare weapon skins.
These are just some suggestions as to what could be in the Gift of the Traveler. I think it would be a great addition to the game as I always had fun hunting him down in Guild Wars 1.
Thanks for reading,
and here’s to hoping something happens!
(Oh, and please open Polymock soon! Looking forward to seeing what you are planning on doing with it.)
