All level 80 exotic stats should be craftable
I fully support this and have mentioned it numerous times. Restricting means of acquisition for certain armour types seems to go against everything ArenaNet stand for.
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
i have not maxed my armorsmith yet so i am unaware of this issue.
how could this be?
we should be able to craft every type of insignia out there !!!
please fix this!
completely agree with this post. so stupid that some stats are easy as hell to obtain but some are near impossible to find
You can already do this.
Go to the crafting vendor → buy exotic recipes from the vendor → craft exotic armor/weapons.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
You can already do this.
Go to the crafting vendor -> buy exotic recipes from the vendor -> craft exotic armor/weapons.
Go on, craft a set of Power, Vitality, and Toughness. Which recipe is this? You apparently have it.
No, you can’t runeblade. Only a certain selection are available. You will not be able to buy a recipe for Power/Vitality/Toughness insignias for example.
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
I agree, Im not there yet but I want to be able to craft the exact stats I need for my build (which is a bit odd compared to everyone elses [healing power, condition damage, toughness/power probably] and I expected to be able to pick any combo I wanted when I got to the top.
It’s difficult to make certain trait lines for professions viable when I can’t find any Condition damage/vitality/toughness gear. Why is power included on every piece of armor? I don’t want it…
Main: Hunter.
What’s causing even more of a headache along with this issue is the inconsistency of prefix on their sPvP amulets and their PvE counterparts.
For example, Knight’s Amulet is Power/Precision/Vitality. The same prefix in PvE is Power/Precision/Toughness.
Shaman’s Amulet is Condition Damage/Healing/Toughness. In PvE it’s Condition Damage/Healing/Vitality. Crest of the Shaman (upgrade slot) is Power/Healing/Vitality.
What gives? All it does is make itemization more confusing.
Accessories that don’t have the power stat? That’s a weird request, what kind of warrior would wear that?
You can already do this.
Go to the crafting vendor -> buy exotic recipes from the vendor -> craft exotic armor/weapons.
No you can’t. Lets take light armor headgear as an example:
– Here is the list of what you can craft. Not that there are only 7 options. All with power.
– Now for a list of all the possible combinations. Scroll down to the triple attribute section, note that there are 12 of them.
The five missing ones, and their attribute combination (primary attribute first), are:
Magi: Healing Power — Precision — Vitality
Rabid: Condition Damage — Precision — Toughness
Shaman’s: Condition Damage — Healing Power — Vitality
Soldier’s: Power — Toughness — Vitality
Traveler’s: Power — Condition Damage — Magic Find
As a condition necromancer, power is a useless stat. Yet it is on every single craftable armor I can wear. I want to wear Rabid, but my choices are grinding out dungeon tokens, or grinding out more gold as dropped items are more expensive than crafted.
+1ing my support for this. It’s rather stupid there are no jewels without power and soldier’s stuff only comes from karma or badges.
I’ve been thinking, and two things have come to mind:
1 – Mixing fine crafting materials is a stupid idea when there is nothing stopping ANET from making a second recipe that produces a different insignia while using the same ingredients as the first. It’s not like these recipes need discovering.
2 – Some people might not know just how bad it is. So I’ve decided to include an example of light armor prices. Exalted is the set name of exotic light armor, so it was easy enough to make the TP show only them then sort by price with the most expensive first:

The most expensive is 3 gold. Though sets other than knights and beserkers would be even cheaper.
But if you want condition damage/precision/toughness, like I do, then crafted is unsuitable. So you have three choices:
– Grind out dungeon gear. 1380 tokens for a full set and the token drop rate is rather low right now.
– Grind up karma for the karma set. 252,000 karma in total, the pieces with the stats are spread among multiple karma vendors across Orr.
– Buy Khilbron’s armor set. At these prices. Pity the headpiece isn’t for sale.
Weapons aren’t much different, except underwater weapons.
I agree. Should be able to craft every type. I’ve yet to see some jewelery combo’s i’ve seen on armor. Drops should be for look’s not for stat combo’s.
I fully agree, and even IF it’s available from Karma vendors in Orr Temples, they don’t always carry the full set between all the NPCs.
For one, Power/Vit/Tough is available only either through WvW Badges, HotW or Sorrow’s Embrace on top of the karma sets. However even if you were to save up karma for this said, you will never find a helm (heavy) with those stats, it just doesn’t exist from vendors.
Now if Melandru/Balthazar temple was working so you can at least access the vendors..wait no it’s bugged.
