Many of us have old soulbound rings from fractals that are of little use to us now. Maybe you could allow us to throw them together in the forge and pop a new random one out!

I prefer this suggestion to selling for laurels. Laurels should only be gained by dailies (maybe some day even weeklies) and monthlies.
Throwing them into the forge may also achieve in you getting other ascended gear like accessories. Making it possible to gain everything you need for fractals from the fractals.
