This game is based around being able to customize easily so why does it take so much effort if you want to have multiple builds? If I want to have a power and condition damage build on my thief with the same look that I like then I have to get a total of 300 Skill points plus the materials to make mystic weapons and do coe a total of around 50 times. What happened to no grinding? Of course it shouldn’t be super easy but this just seems a bit much imo.

Anet: Easier customization! This will lead to people staying longer because you wont be forced to use the same tactics when you fight. You get to explore more and play the entire game not just one build of it.

For sPvP I have no idea why they haven’t implemented build and equipment templates yet (like in GW1).
For PvE I’d just like to see free trait re-specs. No matter how little it might cost it will always demotivate me from trying out a new build. And honestly… have a look at the GW2 economy… do you really think that these small gold sinks (such as armor repair, waypoint cost and trait fee) have any noticeable effect on the economy? If anything it affects it negatively.

I don’t mind investing time & coin into producing multiple equipment sets, but I do wish it was easier to swap between my dungeon build, my PvE build, my WvW build, and my general who-knows-what build. At the moment, I have to:

  • Organize my equipment and manually swap up to 12 items (armor, back item, and trinkets).
  • Visit the trainer and manually select 7 skill traits again (which sometimes requires writing them down).
  • Manually update five slot skills.

I’d prefer to save a build with the gear on the [h]ero panel and then select the combination of gear/traits/skills from a drop-down.
