Allow Giver's stats on ascended/legendary!
Except giver isn’t 10%, they kitten ed and made 1h weapons also 10%… EACH. So 2 1handers gives 20% condi duration. Before they do anything to make this ascended too, fix the 1handers to 5% each (and prepare for the qq)

Yeah atm many stick to their givers weapons due to the fact that they provide better stats for a condition build than ascended weapons. which excludes a big player base of conditioners from the ascended gear upgrade.
And wth nerf down condition duration for 1h to 5%… this wouldnt be worth anything anymore. how bout increasing 2h weapons condition duration to 20%?

Ascended one handed have 10% bonus above 1 handed exotics and 2 handed have 10% for two handed exotics so its not 20% total.

10% each on a stat that needs specific marks to actually benefit from it. And doesnt actually affect all your damage. Aswell as being capped, and getting countered by -cond. duration.
Condition duration is not worth as much as Critical Damage.
But here is an interesting comparison for people like you.
Berserker’s pistol:
90power
64precision
5% critical damage
Giver’s pistol:
64 precision
64 vitality
10% condition duration
Power is the primairy stat on Berserkers. But Condition Duration is the primairy stat on Giver’s. This makes it seem like its overbudget, but consider its a cheaper stat then Critical Damage and its the primairy stat. Meaning giving up other stats.
Atleast now we have a clear answer and this means i will not have a reason to downgrade to ascended weapons. As an Engineer i dont get the damageboost on my kits anyway, so why also take a stat downgrade?

You are completely right, its not balanced. The two-handed weapons need to be buffed.
To further expand on Terrahero’s berserker / giver’s comparison, let’s look at crit damage. Crit dmg works similar to condition duration in that it provides a percent damage increase, but also means it doesn’t always provide that guaranteed increase because you’re not always landing crits. This further proves that there is no good reason the Giver’s stat should not be available in the ascended tier.
I dont even particulary want a upgrade from 10%. What would they do then? 12%? that is a number that works for Critical-damage, but such an uneven value is completely useless for condition duration. That 2% extra wouldnt never round off a full second, so its pointless.

I am completely with you on this one! Anet tries too hard to weaken characters…this isn’t what people want. make my characters feel more powerful! It is just so disappointing to have to run away all the time because of limited power, heals and dodges. I get more enjoyment from playing my characters in Tera. Take a closer look Anet and duplicate this…take a look at Diablo 3 as well…killing is more satisfying in those games!
I think the fact they are purposely leaving out Giver’s stats as an Ascended combo is indicative of an incomming broadstroke nerf to Conditions.

Giver’s is op compared to other weapons, so there you go. These holiday/event gimmicks are never balanced properly (look at perplexity).

Giver’s is not overpowered. Its within its stat budget.
Condition Duration doesnt weigth as heavily as Crit.Damage., its cheaper and for a good reason. Because where every 1% crit dmg works, only at very specific intervals does condition duration work. Cond. duration is also capped, where as for crit damage the sky is the limited.
You see this back in almost everything. Condition duration food is higher, sigils are higher, traits are higher, runes are higher.
And i already pointed out the comparison between Berserker and Givers. Berserker has more Power on it because thats its primairy stat. Whereas for Giver’s the primairy stat is Cond. Duration, so this is the stat with the most stat budget allocated to it.
I’d love the Condition Duration option on my legendary. I stack it for my build and while I love my legendary, I was disappointed not to see Giver’s among the options.

really i am glad i stopped my ascended crafting when I didnt find giver’s states and that no one even commented on fixing the condition duration on the two handed weapons to match the results 1 handed weapons achieve.
Giver’s states need to be looked at! no seriously Anet justify your ascended grind to those who downgrade instantly when forgoing the exotic counterpart.

I’m not sure why conditions did damage per second in the first place. Condition mechanics were fine in GW1, change it back so regen/condition are constant rather than ticks. Don’t fix things that aren’t broken anet… That wasy a 12% ascended giver would work as well as those tiny boon duration options
I agree I feel like a legendary is supposed to be able to change to any stat variety it most definitely needs to have that functionality.
