There should be a way to target yourself and see what you look like to other people. Reasons for this:

1. Vanity – I want to see how the “star” looks next to my name after map completion. I want to see the title being displayed. A huge reason I play MMOs is to progress and I like to admire my achievements. We did this all the time in GW1. What’s the point of getting your own star if you can’t even see it?

Also, I want to see the icon of how I look to other people in party chat.

2. Mesmers need to know whether they look any different from their clones. Right now I have to manually ask someone to check and see.

There are various reasons I’d like self targeting, including checking my titles and whatnot.

There have been some instances where I have managed to target myself during special occasions, but I can’t remember the steps leading to that. However, I’d like if it was made more possible.

1.- invite a friend to team
2.- move to same zone/area
3.- have friend designate you as target
4.- press T
5.- ?
6.- profit!

i i think it worked, dont hold me to gun point that it will work, maybe it doesnt, have a friend test it with you and report us back.

I also would love to see self-targeting available in game for the reasons already mentioned (I want to see how my name/titles look to other people). It’s something I’ve been able to do in every other MMO I’ve played and, for various vanity-related reasons, I miss it. I recall being very annoyed by this in original GW as well.
