Right now the game automatically puts you in the server’s version on the map. Now this originally made some sense your playing on that server you should be on that servers map. However now we’ve entered into a cooling off period where people are on and off at random times also at different times.

Now many people PREFER to be in the overflow because your likely to get more people during all hours and if your in a low populated server you have a far easier chance to find a group and other activities.

I think the design is backward. You should start in overflow, with an option to go into the main server via a check box not a message. You click the box (maybe on the map) and you queue up for the main server. Of course if this is implemented overflows might become so full you will be forced into your main server.

This would prevent people from leaving a server that is emptying because of server hoppers.

It is also another reason why people are leaving the game, I came from a server where there was almost no one every. I hardly got into overflow and the game was getting extremely boring and lackluster. I transferred to a Full server by chance when it hit high for about two minutes. Now the game is playable again. I look back at that and scratch my head. Why hasn’t Anet put this into effect yet?

I RP and I would actually like the reverse. I would like the option to switch to the least populated map at will for spam-free RP.
