You need to craft the items, get someone to craft them for you or buy them at the trading post. It costs about 20-30 silver per rare item and 3 gold per exotic item.

Right, I kind of figured that would be the way to go (well, except for cultural armor which I don’t think can be crafted.) The problem is getting that 3 gold per exotic item. Although from what I’ve seen it was more like 6. The exotic armor with the stat combination I want is apparently a super rare combination.

I wish I knew either how to craft more things or where in the world do I get all the stuff I need!!!! But then again I don’t get a lot of time to play the game so I guess some day there will be a guide all set up for me. When I do get the chance to play this game I’d rather spend it running around with my friends killing stuff and entering in events rather then trying to figure out the crafting system. Like I said though I’m sure it isn’t that complicated if I spend some time with it. I found the people to train me in the two crafts so that I can actually do it but I just need to find the materials somewhere I guess

No, it can’t be. The only difference between stat combination is 3 items which are worth 1-2s each. Everything else is the same. You were probably looking at something that wasn’t a craftable armour.

That 3 gold per exotic item will take some time. You’ll probably get around 1g per 2 hours of moderate play. However, this is the best armour you can get, you won’t get anything better than that exotic armour.

Also, you’ll need to buy runes, which cost 10s-2g depending on the rune you want.

You get the materials by salvaging items and from mines, trees or plants. The crafting system is pretty simple, just go to youtube and see a video about how it works, there are plenty of those.

@Canoas Well, it seemed rarer than most. I had never seen a level 80 exotic set with both +Condition damage and +Healing. The TP didn’t even have a full set for sale.

Is there any way to speed that process up? That seems really slow, especially when you add in all of the expenses you have to pay on top of that low rate.

Like I said, the armors cost pretty much the same think to make regardless of the stats.

I suggest you first buy rare armor and rare weapons, it should cost you about 2g. 3g if you count in the runes. After that you begin buying piece by piece until you have your whole exotic set. It’s not slow at all. You should be able to get the best gear available in about 2 weeks if you play moderately.

@Canoas I meant speed up the process of 1gp per 2 hours. That’s super slow considering how many things require gold.
