Please ANet…add an opposite to the current legendary weapons…because in any world there should be a yang to the yin…

With the Bifrost you get rainbows and glittery puddles…
Well, (perhaps named Desolation) there should be an opposite that would have bony grabbing hands appear from the ground in a small puddle when the character runs…and a rift that would appear periodically behind the individual with demons visible in it…instead of rainbows…

Other players add your ideas for other weapons…perhaps we can get ANet to pay attention…

love this ideal, as i usually like bad and tough looking things rather than pretty little rainbows and unicorns

You could really expand on this and have 1-4 options per weapon use all the same base materials and maybe add a few minor tweaks based on which on you want. This would also give people more choices for legendaries

Is it sad that this community has conditioned me in such a way that the first thing I thought when reading OP’s post is “yeah, something else for people to complain about”. I agree with the sentiment, not every Thief or Ranger wants to shoot rainbows, etc. But I can see it now, “I spent all this time and gold on this Legendary, and NOW you release a better one!? This is just another way to force us to grind! And spend money in the Gem Shop!”

In terms of legendaries all I want is a (much much much much etc) less brony shortbow

@ darkace: It would be easy for ANet to allow people with legendaries already to change them over…DAoC did it with their champ weapons. This would address the issue you bring up.

on a side i’m happy to be the kind of gay that likes rainbows and mini pony, on the other i would be free from the legendary farming and my life would be happy. but i need a trail of rainbow

LOL! That’s all fine and dandy, but being a Necro, I would like to have a darker version of a legendary.

yeah i know it makes perfect sense. how awesome would be to have final rest or deathwish just to nominate 2 staves with nice particle effect? or upgradeble to have it?
or i don’t know made precursor for some very dark staff? the trail of deamon faces from underworld really inspired me

I would love to see more dark/blood/death/etc legendaries.
Possible options:
Blood Staff: Staff wrapped in barbwire with blood running down it leaving blood trails
Blood Daggers: same concept
Death Longbow/Shortbow: Made from bones maybe even shooting bones from it
etc.

It is mentioned that Arena-Net is working on more legendary items so be patient and see what’ll come!

But while we’re at it, I just want serious and epic versions of the more weird and crazy legendaries (like quip and the moot)

the fact that the moot exist though is prove of the great sense of humor of both devs and players who have it!

I want more Water/ Ocean based legendaries- that aren’t just for underwater battle.
I would farm like crazy for a legendary like that.

the bifrost is beauuuutifuuull but really only matches female players/characters – I find it silly to see a big macho guy carrying around that beautiful stick – you already have the opposite like twilight & sunrise – I’d like to see an opposite of the bifrost. Since the bifrost is a named based off a bridge the opposite can be called the Styx.
& the dreamer; which I find the unicorn concept cool- but the rainbow = unicorn is really dumb, always thought that. Opposite of the dreamer would be a Dragon based one- called the serpentine/nightmare or something, that shot black dragons.

Like the previous poster said, more legendaries should be coming.

I honestly think they should work on more better looking weapons than legendaries, we don’t have an good staffs with effects, something like volcanus or infinite light, same thing can be said for daggers, not everyone has time to go for a legendary.

You’d also think “it would be easy” for ANet to fix traits (like engineer’s Scope) that have been broken since launch. Remember, things are never “easy” when we’re talking about a game of this scale.

I agree with you; but I just want to go on record by saying there are very few staff skins I do like and very few dagger skins I do not.

Well, I have only found one staff that I like that isn’t legendary…the Orrian staff has been my favorite thus far…the Nightmare staff seems pretty cool too.

I am surprised that people aren’t posting their ideas for what would be a visually striking weapon that is also reasonable to create for game devs.

Necros cant go with rainbows….we’re not in Kansas Dorothy. An option for “dark sided” legendaries would be cool….or if u make a legendary it would be depended on character/race/profession/sex. I think i ask too much …
