Quick suggestion here, but can we please have an alternative to Lions Arch? Such as being able to redirect anything that would send you to LA to another city? It is very frustrating that every time you take some sort of major portal (from pvp, from clock tower, etc) you have to sit at the Lions Arch splash screen having to load every texture known to man because everyone is there.

I would gladly be teleported to Hoelbrak for significantly quicker load times and pay the waypoint cost to get where i ultimately want to go.

I second this… but I’d like to take a moment to expand on the idea.

As I’m sure most people know you can get to LA for free from anywhere in PvE by going into WvW (or PvP) and exiting via the Lion’s Arch Asura gate.

Lion’s Arch provides gates to the five “home” towns around Tyria. You can then travel to previously discovered waypoints in those towns for free. (via Gate Hub Plaza way point if you wish).

The reason I don’t do this more often is my PC/network/some other factor makes each individual hop take a long time. I often just map direct to a WP in a town even though it “costs” me money simply because I want to be playing the game not watching loading screens…

My suggestion is this …

Why not make travel to any previously discovered WP in a town FREE? It’s effectively free for those with faster PCs/connections/more patience already. You’re just levelling the playing field for the rest of us.

In case you weren’t aware for leaving PvP at least you dont have to go through Lions Arch to get back to PvE, as long as you didn’t log into PvP that is.

For example say I am currently in Cursed Shore, but I feel like going to PvP for a round. I pop up the PvP menu hit the “Go to the Mists” button and play a round or two. When I’m done pop up the PvP menu again and hit the “Leave the Mists” button and wala I’m back in the Cursed Shore.

I do agree how we should get a choose of where we go when leaving the Mad Maze or Clocktower. Or at least get throw somewhere other then Lions Arch the load time there is forever long. Even on a normal basis I tend to avoid going to Lions Arch and crafting and other things in other cities mainly because of the load time.
