You know, ive always been supportive of Anet and in their judgement, but, i just cant understand one thing. Why are you guys sooooo determined to make everything based on RNG ? Whatever happened to rewarding hardworking players ? Instead, its always dependant on dumb luck.

Perhaps i shud have mentioned it earlier, my bad. And yes, (in my case) im talking about the new dungeon FotM and how Ascended RINGS are a Random Drop from the dailies chest. Im just wondering who in Arenanet thought, “Hey ! Lets make a new tier of gear and make it only obtainable based on a RNG,.. AND lets make it only be done once per day”.

You see, currently, my MAIN GOAL is to get a couple of Ascended RINGS from FotM. I have friends, who do it like 4 times and get 2 rings, heck i even know people who do it and get it on their first time. Today was my 8th time, and still no success (im pretty sure some people have had worse luck). I think its about time i give up on it. Who knows how many more tries its gonna take ? Thanks to RNG, after 8 tries, still have no progression towards actually getting a ring.

And the RNG obsession doesnt stop there ! Precursors, have been a long time heated debate. But to make it only obtainable through sources based on RNG (Mystic Forge and random drops).

One recent example is the previous Lost Shores Event. Day 1/2/3. Im from the SEA region and with that said these events happened at 4am everyday for me. With that out of the way, i wanna ask, why is it that people like me who actually took the time and effort to complete Day 1 and 2 given mediocre rewards (Commendations/Karma Jug) while people who specifically took part in Day3 and did not even bother with Day 1 and 2 get a shot at precursors and other Exotics? This is a huge slap to the face for us. Heck, why did ANYONE AT ALL who took part in Day3 get a chance at Precursors ?

And when i read that you guys were doing something about the Precursors, i thought you were talking about doing something sensible and with progression. Not pass around precursors to everyone who participated on a one time event that is biased to the Western timezone. People who did not make it for Day 3 pretty much missed a chance to get insta rich !

In conclusion, from what ive seen so far, everytime something new is introduced, RNG seems to play a heavy role in it. Not skill nor hardwork. I hope you guys will look into this moving forward. Thank you.

Precursors are at least in a better position than Ascended gear: If the RNG hates you, you can still grind up gold and buy a precursor. Or if you get one you don’t want, you are still guaranteed to like the drop because you can then sell it.

But those guarantees aren’t there with Ascended gear. You are never guaranteed for it to drop for you, so you could go for years without seeing the one you want. And if you get Ascended gear drops you don’t want, they are vendor trash because you can’t trade them.

Hahahahaha 10th time getting Fractal tier2 dailies chest. Still no Ring, now its just a huge joke.

So, as it stands, im at Fractals level 16. Theres no real point progressing because when i get to level 20 i probably wont survive Agony without any ring.
