ANET, looks like you guys weild
your QA’s like a shiny armor.

I loved GW1 and i am loving GW2, but there are a couple of issues in the combat system and game itself that fly at face of any logic and smash it to bits.
-Combat mode on/off issues:
-IF you are in a party in the same map as a party member, if said party member enters combat, even if it is in the opposite side of the map, you enter combat too, this here makes no sense as it slows you down alot, especially annoying if you happen to be gunning for a chest at the end of one of the jumping puzzles
– If you dont feel like wasting time with some monsters that you can 1 or 2 hit while your doing a jump puzzle, well, Anet says you have to, For example in the blazeridge steppes spider cave puzzle, if you leave the spiders to eat the dirt flying from your boots, they agro on you even when they cant reach the cavern where you are at, forcing you to be in perma combat mode unless you log out and log in, this is just one of many occurances.
– If you are fighting Tequatl the sunless or one of many bosses that give long term ailments, like in case of tequatl, 7 minutes or sometimes longer weakness, you cant travel via WP’s because you are locked in a life and death battle versus weakness…. Seriously Anet… COMEON!
-The runes that summon animals…. have one of those? well your kitten out of luck, since you cant control those, they force you to enter battle mode for 1 minute, as they have such a ridiculously large agro area, you can kiss goodbye to hauling kitten for a whole minute.
-God help you if you find an elevated spot to kill enemies from… ok i know that is in the name of fairness giving enemies who cant reach you an invuln. albeit it is stupid. But what gets me is that enemies that first chase you when you just want to run past them, slow you down, then when you start hitting back, they run back to their spawn with invulnerability, leaving you hanging in the dry, and slowed down for a while. This here is some annoying kitten, atleast let us finish the enemies no matter where they follow us, IF THEY intiated the attack.
There are propably more issues with this system, but these are the ones i can remember off the bat as i am not home atm.
-The loot and reward system:
-Killed a dragon? nice, running for the loot? nice, Got a DC… yeah sucks to be you then, even if you killed him and get a DC before you get to the chest = no loot for you… Really Anet, your busting down on botters, scammers and gold sellers like it is the apocalypse of the internet. But things like this still exist…. is there really no way to you know, make the game remember whan you killed said dragon and give you the right to get loot even if the DC happens…
-Make the autoloot a real autoloot, you still have to remember to push F in the middle of the battle and if it is a big battle, you might not notice those shiney things in the ground among all the chaos, potentially losing some valuable goods. Why not let the loot go directly into the inventory, is that too much to ask? from a feature called Autoloot. LOL! i mean even if it fills our bags with kitten, we could still get a similar notification as we get now, with the unclaimed loot, giving us the option to walk away, and organize our kitten and come back knowing we havent lost anything. IT is immensely annoying, running to a corpse of an enemy with the glow on it, only to see it disappear right as you get there… Yeah really fun.
I am not trying to be a kitten here, i am trying to blow the whistle on a couple of annoying things, and i am fairly sure i am not alone in this, so Anet. Could you please look into these things, for the sake of your customers/gamers, and consider us living thinking beings instead of a mindless horde.

You are not blowing any whistles. This is not some corporate cover up where they seek to chastise you at every turn.
There are bugs, for sure – they will (hopefully) get fixed over time.
“consider us living thinking beings instead of a mindless horde”.
What on earth?
These are all annoying things but are nothing compared to their real problems.
The real question is when will Anet explain anything?
I wonder how much actual defence each point of armor gives, I wonder how much attack each point of power gives. I wonder how my attack damage affects my skills and to what ratio.
I wonder exactly how much certain attributes give (20% of lifesteal on crit) well thats great! If only I knew how much lifesteal I could actually make an educated guess as to if I want that rune or not. Every single relevant piece of information is hidden in this game. Im sure eventually some turtles will do endless hours of testing and post it on the wiki but this should not be necessary. Anet is so paranoid about its users abusing the very limited range of items they have put in the game so they keep us blind at every turn.
This game is fun but it was made as though only 6 year olds who put 0 thought into how the played were only intended to ever play. There is not even an option to check all your buy and sell orders at the same time along with current prices.
They need AoE looting, which loots everything in the immediate area around you with one click. I’m tired of running around in circles spamming F after every wave in an event, especially since half the time I’m accidentally interacting with an NPC and getting a dialog window that blocks looting from working until I close it. (That annoys me so much)
Just some advice for the next time you want to be honest, write it all down in a text editor and leave it for a few days. Then come back and remove all the frustration and powertalk. While i do agree that most of these things are annoying, the way you make it sound like it’s the end of the world and the excessive use of powerspeech makes it air more like one big QQ post. Due to which i have a hard time wanting to agree with you…

clap clap clap…
you understood that the post was about frustrating things, aaaand then you went off the rails. I stated that the things in my prewious post fly in the face of all logic. I only mentioned apocalypse as a word in the post, so i assume thats one of the few things you understood.
It is also nice to see how youth(or youth minded) see everything negative automatically as crying, i love how they cant discerne between 4 simple different things. Frustration, Crying(you can call me out on this when i make my 3rd or 4th post about the same topic), Complaining, Confusion.
Also on a sidenote, i love how my post has “infracted” because i called Anet out on patronization, who the hell should i call out? what word am i allowed to use from the general group of people who made the decisions? Is Anet really this touchy on the subject of criticism?
I Rechekked the TOS of the forums, and yup, tried searches for call out and callout, and i did not get any hits…
If so i wount mention “Anet” or the respective group again, but i am fairly certain cat is out of the bag already, and considering which forums the posts are being written it is fairly certain who and whos motives are being questioned.
I thank you the posters for bringing your insight(s) to this message chain.

Your telling me the autoloot not being an actual autoloot is a bug? Your telling me their choice to make it so that if you DC you lose every variable data of the session hence losing rights to loot the chest off a boss, are you telling me also that the invulnerabilities are bugs too? Comeon, did you even think before you replied? Seriously?

Are you sure about that? Judging by Jon Peters’ FoV post yesterday, with the amount of half truths and whole lies that are so typical of corporate or politician speak, it very well could be.
Cant edit an earlier post due to option not showing again so:
Edit: well how stupid of me, forgot there was “call-Outs” also and there it was, well wount happen again, but now i know that these are not forums for free critcism, that truly is a shame, all things considered. Kinda confirms some of my fears.

I’m really not sure what gave you this impression but as far as I can tell it’s simply not accurate. I play in a party every day and I never have this problem.
In fact, just last night my friends and I were running across the map together as a pack to get to a specific location while trying not to enter combat (to avoid slowing down). Unfortunately for me, I accidentally got too close to a mob and dragged into combat, which instantly decreased my movement to the slower combat speeds. Despite being right next to me when I entered combat, the rest of my group continued at full speed and quickly pulled away, while I rapidly fell behind until I got out of combat.
I mean, we even laugh at each other over voice whenever this happens (as we’re racing to an instance point), and it happens quite a bit, so I’m not just talking out of my hat here. I have never seen the entire party get dragged into combat speeds whenever one person gets into combat.

Edge:
It usually happens to me in parties of 2 or 3, last such occurance was today when in party with my friend, who likes to play a norn ranger while i prefer a sylvari warrior. I was taking the small chest on top of the toppled wall at blazeridge, when in mid jump i am brought to a slower speed and i see i cant change skills anymore, while i saw my friends hp bar take a hit at the same time. I have become suspicious of joining parties because of this now, especially when doing my daily chest run :S
I suspect there is something else at work there, or that you’re bumping into some sort of bug. I’m almost always in a party of 2 – 3 players and have never been dragged into combat when one of them have (or visa versa that I’ve noticed).
