I really do love this game and I’ll be honest when I say that I participated in almost every facet of all 3 major events that have taken place. (except the mad king’s jump puzzle which i was too scared to enter after hearing it took people 10 hours.) I enjoyed each of these events in their own way and hope things like this continue to take place.

But, why do them every month when there are so many features in this game that need to be fixed? (solo keep capping, precursors 500+ gold, FOTM d/c issue, no in-game dungeon finder, culling, etc. etc.)

People are using outside websites to find groups, People are quitting because they’re done with every facet of the legendary except the precursor and how much longer do you think they will wait for this “scavenger hunt” to come to fruition. We all feel forced into FOTM even though some of us don’t mind the dungeon it still gets repetitive. There needs to be more ways than one to achieve ascended gear, although I hear this fix is coming.

TLDR: I love these events and everything in this game BUT I am patient enough to wait for the next one if it means more time being spent on key issues that MUST be fixed for this game to continue its success. Skip a month, or two. Whatever it takes.

Thank you for reading.

Don’t worry, the next 3 months patches are suppose to be focused on making aspects of the game better instead of adding new areas ect

I kind of agree. I know Anet has many teams working on different aspects of the game, but every time a new event comes out, and they suffer because of the current issues, it can create serious frustration in the players. It is also creating a bad impression on potential new players, especially when events designed to draw people in do not work properly or mobs cannot be seen, etc.. Some issues really need to be fixed before events are released, as it can sometimes do more harm than good.

At the same time, I think people need to learn a little patience. Anet has stated that they are working hard to fix many of these issues and we will be getting a big patch fairly soon, which will hopefully address some of them. These issues can be very frustrating I agree, but the game has great potential and I am willing to wait for them to get things right. They are not going to leave it in the dirt and will do their upmost to make their game as amazing as it should be.

If we still have these issues mid 2013, then there are other MMO’s coming out that could easily draw people away from Guild Wars 2. So I hope for their sake, as well as ours, that these issues can be ressolved quickly. But in the meantime I feel we all need to wait and see how this next big patch goes, before getting annoyed and creating angry posts. I’m not saying that is what you have done that here, Killacam, but many have in other threads.

Simplicity is complex.

Good feedback is key to getting the developers to listen to you.

It would be nice to have team dungeon finder, world events finder, more options on precursor. Getting T6 mats and other stuff is actually not bad, these things just happen, albeit with some farming.

to be direct, the events takes 1 person which doesnt even know how to program to start/stop these once they have been made. so having them constantly will take no developement time from the game itself

when that is said the lack of a LFG system still in this game is the biggest issue of all for a game which is only really fun when enjoyed with others
