Q:

I’m not one to tell anyone how to improve anything but after playing since the first beta there a few things I have noticed that really irritates me.

1. Could we get some kind of confirmation dialog when deleting objects of value. For
example: it’s been three times now that I have got an achievement chest but had a full
inventory, and upon creating room in my inventory, I would accidentally click on
“Delete All” because it is the first suggestion which is where the “Accept” tab usually is
on almost all other dialog boxes. Today I deleted a karma jug, a Black Lion Trading Post
Salvage Kit, and 2 other objects. It is very annoying.

2. Jumping Puzzles: “I really dislike these” but that aside, it is extremely irritating when
attempting to do a jumping puzzle as a Norn or Charr because it seems they do not
have the capability of jumping as high or as far as a Human or Asura character.
Which leads into this next suggestion.

3. Please please please do something about the whole screen zooming in close when
next to objects. I can’t count how many times I’ve been killed from falling off high
objects or from AI because I could not see them due to a huge leaf blocking my
view or something blocking my view. And it really messes me up during jumping
puzzles.

4. I don’t know why it has been disabled or not encoded, but I’d like to suggest that
click to move be implemented somehow like in Guild Wars 1. I have carpal tunnel
syndrome and it is very difficult for me to use the “W”, “S”, “A”, “D” buttons while
also trying to use the number buttons when fighting or whatever. It can be said that
I could use the mouse to activate the attack skills but that seriously slows my attacks
down especially in PvP and WvW. Maybe if we could stack the skills on top of each
each other by altering the UI, like in Guild Wars 1 that would help a lot. Having the
skills closer by stacking them makes it a lot easier to activate them instead of
dragging mouse across the skills bar back and forth taking precious seconds that
could mean the difference between winning and losing.

5. Oh I almost forgot, please do something about the squishiness of elementals. Seriously, if elementals were any squishier, a water drop would kill them when it’s raining. Or they’d kill themselves when putting weapons away or if they trip they’d be done for.

6. And lastly, I would suggest some kind of NPC in the beginning areas of the maps that introduce, teach and give tutorials on how to use the “Traits” and the numbers etc. I have played since the first beta, watched millions of videos on where to put numbers for certain professions and everything but am still at a loss as to exactly use the the traits and where to put numbers. For example. The Ranger has a trait called “Marksmanship”. Okay so what exactly does Marksmanship mean, does the Ranger shoot a bow better with higher Marksmanship? Does a Ranger have more power with Marksmanship? To players that have never used anything like Traits, it can be very confusing. And what if I put 30 points in Marksmanship, and none in Beast Mastery? What would the effect be on my character? Stronger? Weaker? What? These need to be answered.

And this is my opinion on the whole having to buy a certain release of Guild Wars 2 just to get certain elite skills unlocked like “Mistfire Wolf”, Come on ANET I thought you were way better than that. If you’re not going to offer that skill as an achievement or something or offer it another way than having to get a certain release of GW2, then take it off my UI. I don’t need your advertisements in my UI after I’ve already purchased the game. And btw. I love the game and like playing it, but the story lines are just lame. I have to be honest, they are lame and it seems to be a general consensuses among the players that the story lines are boring. And the game was released saying everyone would have their own stories and your story line would change according to decision you make, but among all my characters, I have done the same exact story lines no matter what decisions I’ve made. The only difference is the order in which the story plays out or who it is played out with e.g. The Priory, The Order of Whispers, The Vigil. Every story plays out the same. We all lose at the Battle of Claw Island. I spent an hour and a half killing Risen and was clearly winning but no matter how many I killed, the story was already set to us losing Claw Island. I could write a better story line than this. I’m just saying. Love the game, dislike the story line.
