I think people would zerg less if The Mists had an auto immune system.
The Mists enjoy glorious battles, not mindless manhunts.
A massive bloodclot of players appears, and the clouds over them start to darken, then lightning rains down randomly killing players.
Ooo… lightning strikes.
Like if the server could elect a demi-god to ally with them, and they would have super long cooldown skills.
“Smite Them” – Attack with lightning, and defeat all players within the 500 range wide area struck. Cooldown: 1 hour
“Bless them” – Grant up to 5 players invulnerability for 15 seconds. Cooldown: 1 hour

I’m slightly confused by the definition of zerg being used here. Zergs are generally strung out and running all over the place over a huge area (more like the 5000 range skill in the first post). A group all within 500 range of each other (barely above melee range) sounds more like a very highly coordinated guild group to me…
I mean I can understand why you’d want to insta-kill them instead of fighting them (they’d probably annihilate you if they’re coordinated enough to stick that close to each other), but if they’re all almost in melee range of each other, they’re probably not a zerg.
I think I rather have skill involved in defeating zerg instead of cheap move like an I win button.
