Any chance for a system like the Wardrobe from LotRO?
Annnd how is that system, for us uninitiated ones?
Basically, it lets you add any wearable item to a wardrobe ( similar to a bank ), the skin is then copied to the wardrobe and lets any character on that account equip it in the appearance tab. For armor, the character has to meet the light/medium/heavy check.
There’s a short description of it here; http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Wardrobe
Obviously a few things like the dye mechanic would not apply to GW2 and it should require a transmutation stone to get an item into the wardrobe, but being able to collect skins in a wardrobe, instead of bank slots, and have them shareable across the account would be a nice quality of life improvement for the town clothes/appearance system.

With this concept in mind, I think it would be great if Anet could implement a system similar to DCUO where any style you collect (by wearing or using an item) gets added to a “wardrobe” that can be used to easily change the style of what you are wearing/wielding. Those item styles would be unlocked per-character and only items that a specific character could wear (meaning light, medium or heavy armor) or wield would be available to that character.
It is easy to get confused between items that I am saving because I like the skin and items that I am saving for an ALT to use. As such, I’ve ended up getting rid of items that I was wanting to hold onto because I liked their style.
Adding an extra tab (similar to the mini-pet or hunter pet tabs) that had all the different styles greyed out until we collect it would be great. I’m okay with having to use a transmutation stone to utilize the collected style if that’s what they decide but I’d just really love to have that option to collect and easily use styles.
Also, once the style has been collected, the item would be soulbound and not able to be sent to a different character or resold (other than to a merchant).
Thanks for hearing my suggestion…really hoping something like this is coming soon…
