My room mate and I have been playing since day one and we’ve always wanted to duel each other for laughs and curiosity, I really hope there’s some progress on this feature…

I doubt it. As said in a recent blog entry, ArenaNet is going to rent out PvP servers, so they will probably say: “Want 1v1? Buy some gems, rent a server, and you can do it!”

I hope not…my experience with duelling in WoW was high level players constantly chasing around lower level players who would have absolutely no show of beating them and spamming duel requests. Just annoying.

I would love this, it would help me so much to be able to practice against friendlies. Consensual dueling only, of course, with an option to block all offers to duel.

I like the idea of the option to block all requests. If that was there duelling could actually be a fun addition.

I hope they do not do this at all. If we put in 1v1 dueling then more people will complain about X class being stronger than Y class. They already said ( if I’m not mistaken) they do not want to balance this game around 1v1 at all.

People are already making those kinds of complaints, I think they come with the territory.
