Guild Wars 2

This is something that nearly every MMO I have ever played, seen, or read about doesn’t do. Instead of gear being the reward at cap, why not have new and special emotes (or animations) that are unique and stand out?

Personally, it would be cool to have one of the only toon son a server that can actually jump up and hi five NPC’s, or other players with that emote, or whatever our imaginations can dream up.

Rewards dont always have to be coin or gear.

Just an idea.

You might want to put it on the Suggestions forum.

Emote to jump up in a cheer and freeze in mid air, like at the end of some cheezy 80’s movie, lol. Or some new dance moves, like break dancing or the dance from the thriller music video.

On a side note, on the dropdown menu for the chat window, add emotes to that please, many games do have that and it’d be nice to see here.

I would like to see class specific dances, like in gw1. Or maybe game mode dances that can be awarded when you have excelled in pve, pvp or wvw, requiring you to kill a large number of foes and/or doing events, winning tournaments or getting top player,capturing and protecting keeps and towers.
As it is now I’m not really happy with my racial dance, it’s not a major problem though

I miss the /zrank emotes and other title-related emotes from GW1 that came with PvP titles

I was just thinking about this the other day actually. It got me thinking how awesome it would be for my character to do some Lady Gaga dance moves – particularly ones off the music video ‘Judas’ for example. I so desperately want emotes like that. Maybe ArenaNet could make an emote package for the in-game store? It would be purely cosmetic/fun so I don’t see a reason why not.

Edit: Furthermore, in Guild Wars 1 there was the Michael Jackson’s ‘thriller’ inspired dance, so for GW2 perhaps we could have some Lady Gaga emotes :-P just chucking it out there.
