I think that they thought that having the option of having multiple Guild was possibly a good idea but it really isn’t. By having the option of having Multiple Guilds you will see several members sitting in Guild Not Representing and Helping out the Guild. Then some Guild Leaders who want dedicated members will end up removing them.
1. My suggestion is to make Guilds Soulbound instead of Account Bound. And that Each character can only represent one Guild.
2. They should update Guilds. After this game is called “Guild Wars.” Maybe Anet can put up different “Paths” for Guilds. The guild can only pick one path and cannot head towards another path. By taking the path they chose the Guild gets many different bonuses they can use. (Some boosters or bonuses are passive and some have to be purchased with influence)
For example:
Support Path:
All Guild Members get a Passive 5-10% speed bonus.
Can summon Guild Guards to help defend their Keep, Camp, Tower, or Castle. The Keep’s Guards #s increase with Guild Guards. Several guards patrolling the outter keep, and many defending the inner.
Offense Path:
All Guild Members could get a Passive 5% more damage.
I don’t know I could keep going but these are some ideas I hope Anet can make and that some of you could agree with..
I just hope Anet comes out with an upgrade to Guilds and makes them better and make them soulbound or account bound to 1 guild.
