Guild Wars 2

I think it would be really fun to have an app that has some kind of mini games or puzzles or something similar that would benefit your characters in some way. This would be so nice for those times on the bus or in between tasks.

The payout could be karma, maxing out at 500-1000 per day or something like that. Just the idea of helping my account in some very small way by playing mini-games sounds so sweet.

It sounds good, but what happens to the people that don’t have a cell phone or a cell phone for which the the app was written for, like Android.

Anyway they announced that there would be an app, but the dev’s are currently not working on the project.

The people without access to the app would continue as usual. The app wouldn’t add much benefit to the user (max 500-1000 karma per day) — something easily accomplished in ~20-30 minutes in the core game, but might take many hours on the app. It would just be like playing an extremely small sliver of the game when you don’t have full access.

You know thinking more about it. I started thinking that it might be a good way for some to work on dailies, while they are having down time out and about. The only problem is the reset time for dailies ends a 7pm my time, and I usually do all of them when I get home from work at around the same time. Which means I would have to purposely not finish my dailies every night, just so I could play on the app during my down time at work. Then if by chance I don’t have any down time that day, I will loose out on my dailies getting completed.

If the ‘Gatherer’ portion is permanently required in dailies, then it might be fun to have a gathering minigame which could take care of that requirement.
