I know that this has been brought up before in different sections of the forums. I will pay ANET $20 if I can change the appearance of my Charr to a human. Instead of looking at it like a “race change” and having story line “issues”. It’s a game with magic, humans that swing hammers that weigh three times that they do and things can be invisible. This should not be an issue. No resets of any kind, just an appearance change. You can do it ANET, just take the money.

$20 will get you ~40g.

40g = ~45 levels from crafting.

Getting to level 35 isn’t hard.

How many times more? Why is it so hard to undestand and dammit ACCEPT finally, that ANet won’t bring this

Seriously, I suggest here that the Mods should begin to automatically delete every thread, that is just about this dead slayed horse topic or just sounds similar like going about this annoying topic that gets rigoruously spammed by lazy people that are unable/unwilling to overview a few forum pages, if their topic is already existing…

Do yourself and all of us finally a favor – delete your so extremly unliked character(s) (a such unliked character deserves a better player that cares about him/her anyways :P) finally, restart and and play a new character as the race that you want sooooooooo badly, but for the sake of humanity….

Stop flooding please this forums by daily new threads about this topic. It won’t change anet’s statement being against this feature.
So ignorant can nobody be to overlook all therse countless already existign threads about this silly topic.

And then always these cheap tries to basically “bribe” Anet into changing their opinion by saying, how much you would pay them instantly for this feature to be implemented, only therefore that you personally don’t have to do anything in the game to get what you want – just don’t needing to work for what you want. /sigh

There is obviously a demand for this feature, and people willing to pay money for it. It isn’t difficult to implement and, although there may not be any current plans, Anet are inevitably going to add this feature to the game to turn a few bucks. They are a business after all.

If people want to pay for this then fair enough. It just sends more money Anet’s way to work on other stuff.

I don’t know about the whole “It isn’t difficult to implement” argument since not only do NPCs have different lines for different races. You also have to consider cultural armors and personal story.

Another day, another tedious race-change thread.

If you think, that only because somewhere is a demand for something in a game, when the games developers have already made a statement around their mindset about that feature that is demanded by a kind of a minority and what they think about it, while there are douzens of other things that are demanded much more by alot more players, which could also lead to a much more profitable ingame store, then you are truly naive, sorry.

There is nothing special about this feature, nothing that really improves the game in any kind of way, other than making it possible for lazy players to just swap races at crucial points of the game to get achievements, armors, ect pp alot faster, than a nornal player that isn’t lazy and works for all of this with multiple twinks.

This silly feature would only lead to the point, that players would start playing only as those races whose personal stories are the most easiest/entertaining to them and contain the most easiest maps in the beginning to level up the characters fast, just to skip certain personal story missions of other races which they maybe don’t like at all, other than playing as the race, so that they could just race swap to the race they like most, once the tedious part of leveling the character and its personal story is done.

Everyone who complains here about no race change being in GW2 could have already a character that they want, if they wouldn’t have wasted all their time complaining here and would have instead used that time to restart their characters..

But ohhhhh noes, dammit this would mean EFFORT, kitten you Anet, how dare you. to let me put effort into something, if I want to have something….
Whats wrong with you people ?? How do you come onto this ridiculous point, that you think, you deserve to have a way in the game to instantly switch races without having to put effort into the game for your gain just by giving anet money only ???

The only way how this feature should get ever implemented is, if such a change would automatically also result into a character getting resetted to Level 1 and all of the characters equipment turning soulbound to the old character’s race, so that it becomes useless to the new character and the player has to get new equipment for his/her basically bought new character so that they have to put effort into their characters to earn again the right to have at the end a max leveled character with that you have played through the game, like a player who has played with the same race from the start normally..

Not everything has to be in a game buyable, if there is no need for it, if it doesn’t improve the game in any regard of a vital gameplay mechanism or player goal, that can’t be reached also in an other way without having to extra buy something for it in a shop. This mentality of lazy people disturbs me, that they think, everythign has to be buyable in a game just for convinience, only because a minority demands for something.

The absolute majority of this game gives a crap about this feature, as they aren’t so lazy to put some effort into the game, if they want to have something, that they can work on for and that just for FREE without having to pay for it.

When I have money that I would give ANet, then therefoer, that they improve with it the game with something, that truly makes the whole game better in aspects, from which mostly all to a large majority of the player base can benefit from in a way, that it improves gameplay mechanisms, functions and the like and not for features, that benefit only the lazy people, so that they don’t have to put any effort anymore into the game, if they want to get something just by changing something they were willing to put effort in first, as by playing with race X was much easier, than playing with race Y and levelign it up to 80 and then just changing over to race Y, because they like their looks better ect.

We don’t need this crap! We need Race Change + Personal Story reset ! -.-
