With a helmet from the exotic sets of your choice – or alternatively 60 dungeon tokens!

Giving out a level 80 rare helmet as this one-time reward is stupid. Who in their right mind would spend tokens on completing the rare set when you can get the exotic set? I can understand the lower level dungeons doing this, after all they are below level 80 so you can’t wear the exotic set yet. But Arah is level 80!

The helmet ended up being Salvaged (as I am most certain 100% of all these helmets end up). No ectos. Poo.

It’s story mode.
Not Explorer mode.

You wouldn’t expect to get a 35 rare for doing AC story :/

The point is, it’s a story mode. NOT an explorer mode.

You’re obviously going to get better rewards for explorer mode of a dungeon, not story.
Plus, if Arah gave a free piece of exotic dungeon gear – The others would have to as well

You only have to do story mode once

While I agree that explorable mode ought to carry the better reward given its higher difficulty, the lack of incentive to help others through story mode is a problem. Just today my guild was unable to put together a group to help a friend finish her story, and she’s been asking for help for a very long time.

Perhaps rewarding an exotic helm or 60 tokens is too great, but there ought to be greater incentive than there currently is.

No, they would not.

The Rare set for the lower level dungeons make sense.

The Rare set for Arah makes no sense at all since there is no reason to pick it over the exotic other than you being stupid.

By the time you do Storymode for Arah, you probably have way better gear anyway – I bet 100% of those helmets go straight to the bin/salvage.

Even if giving out the Exotic helm may, may, be too much, a one-time deal of 60 Shards of Zaithan would not.

When I first did Arah story long ago I was baffled, I spent a good 20 minutes looking for that guy giving you that classic guild wars end-game-token-to-trade-for-item-of-your choosing…
I didn’t even get to choose the looks/stats of it?

I’m not saying that exotic is the way to go, but choice rather, to us to choose what kind of stuff we want… you know… like that other game… what was it’s name… oh right Guild Wars :/

Arah story mode rewards aren’t very good, being the last part of an epic story, AND it is a one-time only deal, it should’ve been more rewarding. I mean look at the one-time Karka event and what you got from that one, maybe give us some bags after finishing our story?

I don’t think the story mode needs to have a greater reward. But I do think it needs to have some kind of reward for doing it again. Something minor, like 20 tokens or maybe a tiny bit extra karma, gold and experience, but something to make people more interested in helping people finish their personal story. It is after all a dungeon and you HAVE to have 5 people to finish it, the longer it goes the less chance you will have to find 5 people who want to do story mode with you.

It is incredibly annoying seeing that personal story on your screen all the time knowing you’ll never be able to finish it because you wont be able to find people who would do it with you just from the kindness of their heart. Gladly I finally did after a few months, but others might not be as lucky.
