I have many a times exited completely to desktop when I’m just trying to switch characters and my mouse slips from logout to exit to desktop in the ingame menu. There is a confirmation window for logging out and changing characters, so why not add one to leaving the game?

Because for the 99% of people who are able to click the correct button, it would be nice not to have to click on the confirmation button every time I want to exit the game.

I’m guilty of this two lol every now and then I exit to desktop not even meaning to.

Quoted for truth… well a close approximation of the truth anyways. It’s annoying when you’re in a hurry to leave and programs keep prompting you if you’re sure about things.

“Quit”
“Are you sure you want to quit?”
-Yes that’s why I clicked the button.
“Are you REALLY sure you want to quit?”
-Yes! That’s why I clicked on the kitten button!

Even after all that. I’m sure people would still complain about accidentally quitting the game.

There’s a prompt for logging out and switching characters because there’s an option. Either you log out or switch characters.

There’s no prompt on the quit button because if you don’t want to quit, you don’t click the button. There’s no options there.

Why don’t you click more carefully instead of subjecting everyone to necessary prompts?

Buy a better mouse pad or mouse if this is happening so often, seriously, it helps.

Although it has probably happened to everyone it is not a big deal. It only takes a minute to restart the client and get back to the character selection screen. They have bigger fish to fry.
