Armor + WvW additions + pvp
So you want things kept easy? Sure wall upgrades are still worth it and it really comes down to player awareness and tactics in order to take siege equipment down before they reach the walls. Its not going to make upgrades worth any less if this was implemented. Right now its just a zergfest at the gates or bombardment from a safe area at towers/safe zones. Really a no brainer to defend against.
Also there has never been downed state in any mmo till now. It really is a stupid mechanic imo. Allows noobs to have a “second chance” when realistically in any other game they would have been dead. I only suggested this because downed state in pvp is REALLY overpowered atm. The skills classes get in downed state def need to be changed if this isn’t going to be removed. In the first place the player only has him/herself to blame for dying.

Are you sure it’s easy? I’ve been on HoD fending off hordes of the rank 2 and 3 servers, and those guys put up one hell of a fight. We don’t stay undefeated because of having a huge population, we stay undefeated because of constant vigilance, hard work, and sacrifice made by a large number of our players.
And a lot of the things in GW2 haven’t existed in any other MMO. It’s a very good mechanic, that allows for you to win. It’s not like it’s that hard for anyone to press F and instantly finish you if you’re alone. And even if you’re so slow that you can’t stomp a thief before he shadow escapes out, he’s a range of 600 away, and has to wait 15 seconds before he can do it again.
And, if you’re *ever* being downed by a downed person, just use *your* downed skills to get back at him. He was downed before you, and isn’t going to outlast you.
So shines a good deed in a naughty world.
