Guild Wars 2

This is a pretty simple idea. I think there needs to be a forum for discussion of armor and weapons.

Right now it is scattered through profession category (about what shield a guardian should use or what daggers look best on thieves) or in the crafting section (how to forge this item or why isn’t this item making money QQ). Also maybe some in the BLTC about how dusk is still too expensive QQ.

But in reality all the weapons can be used by a variety of different professions, so if I’m thinking of what daggers to use for my ele, I don’t want to have to check the thief, ranger, necro, etc threads then go to discussion followed by crafting.

Agree? Disagree? Meh?

I’ve seen more discussion about general weapons / armor looks in Players Helping Players than any of the individual profession forums. And the threads in profession forums usually apply specifically to that profession and weapons that “fit” the profession, so its fine that they’re found there.

I wouldn’t be opposed to a Armor / Weapons or Gear subforum though.

Good point about the PhP forum. I guess that one slipped my mind. I feel like it just wasn’t given a proper category because in most MMOs weapons and armors are exclusive to profession/class where in this one, especially weapons, are spread across several professions
