Armor value customization

They said that future expansions are going to have different stat combinations on the new gear. This would completely negate their idea for future expansions even and they consider a different dominate stat to be a different stat combination.

I don’t think it would really, especially if they are planning to add in new armor combinations anyway.
I’m not asking for any value to exceed what is currently available, just to be able to assign which number gets the highest value.
They can always put a cap on value so that I cannot exceed 100 power for example(it already exceeds that on a few pieces of gear.)

No need to create the new combinations if I can select what I want in the first place(this is something I’ve always felt about crafting in any kind of game. Nothing actually lets me make what I really want and I usually end up settling on something.)
All they have to do is create skins since the player get’s to choose what values they wanted.
I agree – for every piece of equiment. (Oh, wait – except bags.)
As for unbalanced combinations, which might that be? Precision + critical chance? You can already now get a value that just waste potential, because more than 100% are worthless.
Any else that is really benefitting? I can’t see any that would exceed the usefulness of existing combinations. It just would give you more freedom, so… really, why not?
They said they already have at least the first 2 years of the games content updates planned, assuming the different combinations of item progression are tied to and planned with these content updates.
But that will only apply to fixed combinations, won’t it?
