From an interview Anet said that they were thinking of branching out to more diverse PVP map types (and how Spirit Watch was an example of one). It seems like the only races represented in the PVP maps are norn, human, and charr. There are no maps for asura or sylvarri.

That got me thinking about a possible asura-themed map. Asura architecture is known for their platforms. So maybe the map could incorporate platforming to some degree. I don’t think the map should be over saturated with platforming because then I think people would get annoyed it at. But some level would be nice. This would be a way to make the map uniquely different than the other maps.

For the objective maybe there can be computer consoles or something that when switched could do some various effects. A couple I can think of off the top of my head is maybe it could disable certain bridges to create bottlenecks, or that the switches could cause some area to become electrified (or perhaps put a trap there), or that some monsters in test tubes are released next the opposing side’s spawn area or something.

Anyways I really think an asura-themed pvp map could be something special.

Also what is the charr based pvp themed map ?

Arena-net is currently working on new PvP maps.

Besides that they’re also working on housing, dueling, commander-change, etc.

I think it would be cool if Anet could create a map similar to Smite or league of legends. where there are three or four different paths to follow and your team will have to use strategy in order plan out who is going where. I enjoy playing on the map where there is svanir and the other buff ( forgot the name). This made it fun to steal the apposing teams buff and in my opinion, made it fun to use team work.
