Would it be possible to add something visual to icons to denote more clearly that they are a masterwork/rare/exotic as some of them use the same icons?

I’m no paint shop master.. but anything simple would be cool. ^^

Edit:Unique items could keep their icons/visual. Just generics would be affected,and not necessarily how I did, just an idea heh

Or maybe even just outlines.

Having outlines around the icons would make salvaging and organising your bags somewhat smoother.

Oh yes, I downloaded an addon back in my WoW days that did just this. One of the most important addons in my library. xD A-Net should definitely add something along these lines.

Yes something to show it would be nice. Kinda like the idea with actually changing the icons themselves in color, as long as it is done right, and look good thus, it would be awesome. Ofc giving colored outlines would be the far easier solution, but also imo more boring

Wouldn’t say it is that bad what you did, but neither ofc is it perfect, and ANet undoubtedly got to have professionals at it that can do it even better

+1 to coloured outlines on gear icons. Colouring the entire icon would be confusing to me, but a simple outline of a few pixels’ width with the corresponding item quality colour would be infinitely useful!

Maybe we can get this in an upcoming patch And it would help some more recent people with problems similar to this.
