Guild Wars 2

It is a question:
- Are there gonna be events like in the beta weekends or were they sacked?

And a suggestion:
- If you don’t plan on doing that on a regular basis, you should!

When I played the shatterer and the killer bunny event during BWEs, I thought this is what the game would be about. I thought the devs were gonna come and play with us on a regular basis. It was one of the most fun PvE things I’ve experienced in the game. It definitely beats this living “story” and the ever-increasing instances. I really though you had a *live * team to do live stuff in the open world.

Come play with us! Play god with your world! Spawn dragons and deites! Send invasions to cities! Brand players! Let’s have some hodoring fun!

I was really glad Colin took time to tell us all about the reward revamp and the love Orr is getting (which I do care about). I hope some dev could give an answer on this too. Thanks!

For those who don’t know:

These beta weekend (BWE) events would use the dynamic event interface to create something special in the world. On my favorite one, the dragon branded a couple of players and turned them against normal players. When they killed you you would become branded too, with new skills, and change sides. It was a ton of fun despite it failing technically on some servers.

I would like this too! I only manged to get on for the one that turned you into a branded creature but it was great. Something like that would be fantastic on occasion. Que the ‘but I cant make it waaah waaah’ players now.
