At present time the only way to obtain back slot items is through storyline rewards, random drops, Guild merchant or throwing a veritable ton of valuable crafting materials into the mystic forge. In my opinion, Fine through Exotic recipes for such items should have also been added to the crafting professions.

As such I would suggest adding the following recipes:

Tailoring: Books (or better yet: Capes)
Leatherworking: Quivers
Armorsmith: Spineguards

:)

Valiant Aislinn – Aveneo Lightbringer – Shalene Amuriel – Dread Cathulu
Fojja – Vyxxi – Nymmra – Mymmra – Champion of Dwayna .. and more

I really like the idea of craftable back items.

I do feel, however, that they should be items that don’t add, or take away from, the skin of the armor. They should go underneath the armor.

Quivers would look cool on Rangers……if they have a bow equiped, but would look REALLY silly on Engineers and Thieves since neither of them can equip bows.

You already have the ability to hide your back slot item. Just flip the checkbox on your (H)ero panel

(Thieves can use a bow by the way, almost every thief in WvW has one)

I support this idea

Warriors are those who choose to stand between their enemy and all that he loves or hold sacred
